One there are different grades of AC seperations. Two, my main goal wasn't to get back on a bike right away, after two weeks I could've easily ridden a bike. My main goal was to finish off the football season being I hurt it in football, and hopefully play a varsity game. I didn't want to get back on a bike and re seperate it, making it even worse which could go into my baseball season.

I'll offer mordern warfare two, my rusty BMX from walmart that's spray painted purple and black and some pokemon cards. Oh I almost forgot I can offer some fake plastic pedals? they're pretty grippy. I think they're better than my friends straitline pedals.

To be honest I don't even know if a stinky will ride better for downhill. I doubt it would ride better than a bottlerocket. Second, the bottlerocket is the last thing you want for street. I'm assuming you probably do alot of stairsets and drops to flat, jumps to flat and such. Do you even have any idea what you're talking about? about 6 inches of travel is well enough for several types of riding unless you think you can do some 40 footers. Or if you're doing lots and lots of drops to flat...

I stinky is NOT better than a bottlerocket for all around riding. And you said it's a downgrade? why give him all these poser speaches and crap?

Yup I love to read. I don't ever ride I just sit on pinkbike and look at cool pictures like this. If your friend wants to buy a bike let him, his money, his choice. When you buy a new bike, assuming that you're getting into riding, you kind of work your way up to that skill level of the bike. I beleive having a nice bike actaully helps you improve. Buying a new bike that may be a little bit abouve your skill level shouldn't consider you a chav or a poser. As long as he gets out there and rides, and doesn't buy the bike and buy a bunch of bike clothes just for the looks. So in conclusion, buying a nice bike, that may be a bit abouve your skill level helps you improve at becoming a better rider. You have to ride-up to "earn that bike" as you would probably say. Until he buys the bike and sits at the skatepark or bikepark (without riding) then give him the fifth grade "poser talk"

It suits his needs. Not everybody dreams of a cove shocker with a 2010 boxxer world cup on it. The bottlerocket is a dream bike for many...

Yeah first time ever fully hurt like this. Atleast I get to play the last 2 freshmen games, 1 JV game, and possibly a varsity game, assuming we don't get raped in the first 5 minutes of the game like always. And I get to bike a little bit before the REAL bad weather comes. Could've been worse I guess.

Yeah about a month ago I had a AC seperation from football. I guess it's "healed" but it still feels so awkward to move it. I have my full range of motion, but lost alot of strength. I got back on my bike today, I went down to the bikepark. On the way down I was freezing. I couldn't do much, felt pretty wierd on a bike, shoulder hurt a bit when I landed some stuff but that was probably just the soreness of playing back in my first football game.

Yeah the top tubes are usually too high to get your shin over. The killswitch is built like a hardtail therefore making it possible. Same with Berrecloth's SX, look at the top tube on that thing it literally drops.

Probably not. I havn't even been on a bike in forever..separted AC legiment in the shoulder. This winter or early spring I was definatly looking at building stuff up or getting something like a intense SS or SX trail. Somewhere on the lines of that type of bike.
